Lewen Tugwell : ウィキペディア英語版 | Lewen Tugwell Lewen Greenwood Tugwell was a former Archdeacon of the Isle of Wight. Tugwell was born in 1862 into an ecclesiastical family,the son of the Rev. L. S. Tugwell〔His father was the Rev. L. S. Tugwell > ”Who was Who 1897-1990” London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 0-7136-3457-X〕 and educated at Trinity College, Dublin and ordained in 1895. He held curacies at St Saviour's, Battersea Park and Holy Trinity, Guildford〔"The Clergy List, Clerical Guide and Ecclesiastical Directory" London, John Phillips, 1900〕 before becoming the Anglican Chaplain at Freiburg in 1900. He was Vicar of St Mark’s, Farnborough from 1904 to 1911 and Rector of Calbourne-with-Newtown〔(Geograph )〕 from 1912. He was Rural Dean of West Wight from 1918 to 1922; and Archdeacon of the Isle of Wight from then〔The Times, Thursday, Jul 13, 1922; pg. 15; Issue 43082; col A Ecclesiastical news〕 until 1928.
